Ette's life underwent a radical change
From living Jokers 24 hours a day, I branched out. Unfortunately I took a direction no one would ever willingly choose: but, as the saying goes, "Sh-t happens." (Or, as I prefer it, "Life Happens.")
This blog is going to change focus accordingly, become a journal format. Jokers will certainly be included! The trials and tribulations of owning such a large community are always fascinating. My life has become interesting, perhaps not to many folks, but perhaps to folks who can profit by hearing it.
To that end I also have created a site that will go live whenever I'm able to do it. Yes, you read that right. For the time being, touching that site triggers one of my life's newest lessons: a brand new disease I acquired some 7 months ago. This is nothing you can catch, nor anything that kills you. It's a disease of the brain, or perhaps the psyche. Me, I always thought only Viet Nam veterans had this particular illness.
PTSD, of course.
For warriors, it's obvious what causes such trauma that when they go back to daily life, the memories (flashbacks, nightmares) can and often do overcome them. The rest of us also undergo trauma: some more severe than others. In my case, 6 or so years of abuse (beginning with mental and spiraling into physical) were sufficient to induct me into the ranks of PTSD sufferers.
Part of my therapy is to maintain a journal: so, here we go.
